We are writing to share our back-to-school night scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 25. We are thrilled to have this night be held in person for the first time in several years!
Back-to-school night will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, starting at 6:30 in the gym. The end time is variable based on your family size and how many teachers you wish to see, and/or how long you’d like to participate in HASA’s welcome back social that evening, but we do ask that at least one parent attend if possible as a strongly encouraged event. Our tradition has been to ask students to remain at home for this evening. As you’ll see in the schedule below, there will be 3 main sessions and a 4th visit session, allowing you to meet all of your child(ren)’s teachers. Teachers will repeat their information in each session, so you may attend sessions in any order you wish. Here is the schedule:
6:30 - 6:50 (gym): prayer, opening remarks from Mr. Coyle, introductions of HASA, Board, and faculty 6:50 - 7:00 - move time 7:00 - 7:15 - session 1 – choose any of your child(ren)’s teachers 7:15 - 7:25 - move time 7:25 - 7:40 - session 2 – choose any of your child(ren)‘s teachers, attend social, or depart if finished 7:40 - 7:50 - move time 7:50 - 8:05 - session 3 – choose any of your child(ren)‘s teachers, attend social, or depart if finished
8:10 - 8:40 - “visit session” – Your children’s teachers will remain in their rooms for families with 4+ children. We ask you to rotate around the building to meet them, receive their course outline, and schedule a follow-up conference if you would like more time with them.
Jr. High Families If you have one child in jr. high, you’ll be able to hear from all of his/her teachers that evening, as our jr. high teachers will pair up to introduce themselves and their classes. There will then be 4 potential rooms for you to visit: Mr. Wolff / Mrs. Scudder Ms. Matty / Mrs. Morr Mr. VanRyn / Mrs. Centlivre Mrs. Dumford / Mrs. Heisler
